Andromeda Turre is an American jazz vocalist, composer, and multidisciplinary artist whose work bridges tradition and innovation. Born into a musical family—her father is trombonist Steve Turre and her mother is cellist Akua Dixon—she was immersed in jazz from an early age.
She studied at The Boston Conservatory and Berklee College of Music, developing a distinctive voice that blends classical, theatrical, and contemporary influences. Her international career began with a two-year residency in Japan, where she released her debut album Introducing Andromeda Turre, and she has since performed in over 17 countries.
Beyond music, Turre has starred in off-Broadway productions and composed original works for theater, film, and video games. Her recent project From the Earth combines jazz with climate activism, earning her multiple awards including Best Jazz Artist and Best Social Awareness Song at the 2025 World Entertainment Awards.
She’s also a longtime background vocalist for Saturday Night Live and has collaborated with legends like Ray Charles and Michael Bublé. Through her companies M31 Entertainment and Starbilt Records, Turre champions equity and opportunity for fellow artists.
